Breaking News

As mentioned earlier, Naradaa was looking at various possibilities for launching 'Naradaa' news channel. So, Naradaa looked at a few news channels.

Naradaa is confused a little.

What Naradaa understood so far was, 'Breaking News' is a special report on a 'just-happened' important event which is broadcast usually interrupting an on-going scheduled program.
But what Naradaa is seeing these days is every news is a 'Breaking News' everytime it is flashed on one of the newsbars.

So, what is 'Breaking News'?

Once or twice as a child, Naradaa remembers of being afraid to break the news. When once Naradaa fought with someone and got thrashed  and once when Naradaa had an infatuation with a girl..... How to 'break the news' to the elders? But this 'Breaking News' is nothing like that; and channels are not afraid of Breaking any News to anyone.

Maybe the news is broken into pieces and then the channels pick up some of the pieces which they think relevant - or which they think are the right pieces. Next time again it is broken into further pieces and again and again continue the process.

Or the news as a whole is not digestible to the poor viewers, so the channels are doing a good service by breaking them up - sometimes mashing - to feed us. To taste, add some Ajinomoto, perhaps?

Or is it Breaking (into) News, with an implied 'into'? Sometimes it is possible if you break into the news, you can find different meanings, hidden meanings etc.

One problem Naradaa finds is that the same news is broken many times - rather every time the news is broadcast, even after two or three days. So, the question is, how many times the news can be broken? Can a broken news be broken again?

Anyway, Naradaa wants to put a little more thought into this 'Breaking News' bit. Naradaa welcomes suggessions from anyone who can help.
