Lazy Chair: Hey, Naradaa! So you have finally come back?
Naradaa: Yeh, I have come back.
Lazy Chair: Where were you for so many days? Don’t you know that you are supposed to travel sitting in my lap?
Naradaa: Ha, but some travel has to be physical and that can’t be done with you…
Lazy Chair: And so you have been busy travelling while I was here….
Naradaa: …lazily enjoying life, no?
Lazy Chair: What enjoying? All my friends are asking where is that lazy bum of yours? I got fed up of telling …..
Naradaa: And what do you tell when anyone asks about me? Ok, never mind! Don’t tell me!
Lazy Chair: yeh, you better give it a miss… come, sit… where are we going today?
Naradaa: No idea yet. Let me just sit and think and then you will know where to go….
Lazy Chair: OK, ok... you are remembering the breakfast you had in .... was it in a Delhi hotel?
Naradaa: Theoritically, yes. But practically, I think I was in UP. You se there is this road where the left lane is Delhi and the right lane is in UP.
Lazy Chair: Really?
Naradaa: Yes, but the theme of today is breakfast .... In the hotel, the breakfast is a buffet and is all laid out on a long desk and you can pick up and eat any item as much as you want.
Lazy Chair : Wow!
Naradaa: Now, don't interrupt. So, there were idlys, dosas, paranthas, poories with vegetables, chutneys etc. Along with that there were toast and butter, cornflakes and milk and other continental breakfast too, because there were tourists from the west staying in the hotel.
I sat in a corner enjoying my idly and sambar. Two important looking indians followed by two foreigners came in for breakfast. It was amusing to see the two Indians heading towards the cornflakes and the two foreigners choosing the paranthas.
Lazy Chair: What is so amusing? They choose what they don't get at home, no?
Naradaa: Yeh, I have come back.
